this is ADNCC, a number of tools to help you find the most suitable app.net-client for your needs. You can select platforms and features which are divided by categories in the next section. While you are selecting features, you will directly see the clients that fit them. By pushing the “Reset selection” button you can clear your choices and start from scratch.
If the list with results doesn't offer you enough details, you can switch to a table-view with the "View as table-button". It will show you in detail what your already selected clients can or can’t do. Finally, you can select clients and compare them by pushing the “Mark for comparison” button in the list view. The selected clients will be added to a (red) list and can be compared then. Marked clients can be removed from the list by simply clicking their name. If you selected two or more clients, you can hit the “Compare clients” button. Your selected clients will be compared and only features, which differ the selected clients are displayed in a table view. Common supported/unsupported features will be listed separately. Additionally, you can use the URL to share your selection.
Finally, we wish you good luck finding your desired app.net client.
ADNCC is an abbreviation for app.net Client Comparison. It is an API for building a front end to the app.net client feature comparison matrix. The matrix is a Google Spreadsheet maintained by @nhk which lists tons of features and most of the app.net-clients available to compare them. Originally only having microblogging- or Alpha-clients listed it expanded with time to other types of ADN-clients as well. As the developers added more interesting features to their clients the matrix became more and more unusable. Thus @chemiker built an API to access the data of the matrix, so that people can built upon it a better usable website or even integrate it into their software. adncc.nigma.de by @chemiker is the first service to use that data. Another example is the iOS-client hAppy by @dasdom which uses it for giving its users the chance to find a client that fits their needs if they are not satisfied with it.
